Bonuses

Free bonus funds, named properly

Casinos use “free” for three different things: a no-deposit coupon, bonus money added to a deposit, and spins whose winnings are locked until they are wagered. The word on the banner is not the rule.

Three meanings

  • No deposit. Springbok’s R250, Silversands’ R400, White Lotus’s R400 and Apollo’s R400 are in this group. You still have to clear wagering, and Springbok prints a R1,250 maximum payout on its R250 coupon.
  • Deposit match. The bonus is free in the sense that the casino adds it, but your own money is in the pot. Springbok’s terms say deposit coupons are 30 times the sum of the deposit and the bonus unless the coupon says otherwise. Withdrawing early is refused until that playthrough is done.
  • Free spins. The stake is paid by the casino. Winnings are often bonus funds. Springbok’s general rule is 60 times the initial free-spin value.

If a page on this site cannot show the multiple, it says so. See the operator’s site for current terms rather than a guessed number.
